A guide to CBD vaping

In this blog, we’ll look at exactly what’s involved to ensure you enjoy a satisfying and enjoyable experience when you vape CBD e-liquid.

Why Vape CBD?

CBD has become increasingly popular over the last few years. It is available in various forms, from drinks to food and e-liquid for vaping, and there are many reasons why people choose to use CBD in all its forms.

For example, some say that it may help with various conditions. Whatever your reasons for vaping CBD, here’s what you need to know.

Know What to Vape (And What Not To)

When you hear people talking about vaping CBD oil, they’re actually referring to the practice of vaping CBD e-liquid. This is a special type of e-liquid that has been designed specifically for vaping.

It’s important to know that you cannot vape all CBD oil. A lot of CBD products are made to be consumed orally rather than used in vaping devices, so make sure you are getting a product that can be vaped.

Choose Your Equipment

Before you can vape CBD, you need to choose your equipment. There are various ways to vape, and here we’ll look at some of the most common types of equipment used.

All vape equipment includes an atomizer, a chamber and a power source. The vape juice or vape liquid goes into the chamber, the atomizer heats the liquid up and turns it into vapour, and it is then breathed in. However, the devices vary greatly in size and complexity.

Vape Pens

Vape pens are the simplest and often cheapest type of device used for vaping. They are very beginner-friendly, and they look similar to pens, hence the name.

These can be disposable or refillable, and they are easy to use, relatively affordable and easy to carry. If you get a reusable one, you will need to change the coil occasionally and clean the tank, so there is more work involved.

Some vape pens use cartridges that are pre-filled with e-liquid (often called 510 cartridges). These contain about 0.5 ml of e-juice, and they are available in CBD flavours.

Pod Devices

These vape devices use pods, which are similar to small cartridges that you buy pre-filled with e-liquid. Pods come in a wide range of flavours including CBD.

There are special vaping devices that are made to take pods, so you will need to use one of these. They are very easy to use because all you have to do is change the pod when you’re e-liquid runs out.

More Advanced Vaping Kits

The simplest options above are probably best for beginners, but there are many other types of vaping devices available.

Mods are larger devices that have more battery power and give the user more control over the vaping experience.

You can also use RDAs (rebuildable dripping atomizers) and RTAs (rebuildable tank atomizers), which take things to the next level. To use these devices, you will have to learn about ohms to use them properly.

You may want to progress to one of these devices. But to start with, simple all-in-one starter vape kits will usually be a good option.

Invest in a Quality Product

Whichever type of vape device you decide to use, make sure you invest in a high-quality product – for your safety as well as enjoyment. There are lots of devices out there, but some are much better than others, so choose a well-known manufacturer with a good reputation.

This goes for the CBD e-liquid too. CBD e-liquid quality really matters, so make sure you choose a trusted manufacturer.

How Much to Vape?

The next question is how much CBD you should be vaping. Again, there are no rules, and it often comes down to experimentation so you will have to work out the dosage that is right for you.

When starting out, it’s better to go with a low strength. That way, you can work your way up to a higher dosage if necessary. If you weigh up to about 70kg, a low dosage would be considered about 12mg. However, strengths can go a lot higher, right up to 30mg and 45mg. The dosage you choose may be affected by your weight, but also your condition if you are vaping CBD for a specific purpose.

Start out with a low strength, then go up slowly by about 5mg each time until you find the right level for you.

Follow the Instructions

When it comes to using vaping devices, the exact way to use yours will depend on the specific device you own. Some are very easy to use, like vape pens, and it might be a question of pressing a button and breathing in.

However, others are more advanced and you will need to know how to use yours properly to enjoy a satisfying vape, so follow the instructions carefully.

CBD Vaping Technique

You may want to know more about how to vape CBD e-liquid, but the truth is that everyone has their own technique. It depends on you and the device you are using.

You can sip the vapour into your mouth and then breathe it into your lungs. Or you could breathe it directly into your lungs. There is no correct way, and it’s a personal choice. However, if you only breathe into the mouth, this will probably not deliver a lot of CBD to your body.

Vaping CBD is all about experimentation. Try out different devices, e-liquids and techniques until you find what works best for you.

Start Experimenting with CBD

As you can see, there is not a lot to it when you start vaping CBD. If you just want to try it out, investing in an affordable but high-quality vape pen and some CBD e-liquid is probably the simplest way. Then try out a low-strength e-liquid and go from there.

If you enjoy the experience, you may want to invest in more advanced vaping equipment. Many people are now vaping CBD e-liquid for different reasons, so try it out yourself and experience a different way to enjoy CBD.
